Ministry in the Phillippines

The Church Triumphant Ministries

The Church Triumphant Ministry was birthed through the effort of Allan Asang in obedience to the Lord’s calling. He was at the time an associate pastor in a Four Square Church in his native land, The Philippines. He became burdened to go to the tribal people in the more remote region of his country and preach the gospel. When he brought this vision to his senior pastors and elders they said they would release him to go but they would not continue to pay him a salary because he would no longer be working inside the church. With much prayer Allan and his wife decided it was better to obey the Lord and trust the him for provision, than stay where they were. So in faith Allan began preaching the Good News to tribes around his home. He traveled into the villages on foot with no one other than his wife, at home caring for their three children, interceding for him.

It was about this time that our ministry was contacted by Allan. He learned of our work through our website. We began to pray for one another. About one year later Allan planned a trip to the US to visit with us (we lived just outside of New York City at the time) and help raise support for his ministry. He was scheduled to arrive Sept 2001 but when terror struck New York City his trip was cancelled.

We moved our ministry and family to Nashville at the Lord’s prompting in early 2002. Nine months later Allan made his way to Nashville. He traveled with a mutual friend who had gone to the Philippines to confirm and support his work among the tribal people. After a two week stay, Rev Gordon Miller of Toledo, Ohio was able to fully endorse Allan and his ministry.

Ministry History: The Church Triumphant Ministries Inc, was duly Registered in our Government March 19, 2001 with the office located at 088 Prk. Bayanihan Viasayan Villlages Tagum City Philippines. We started our ministry with one church and 8 believers, and by the grace of God with the power of the Holy Spirit moving mightily the ministry is growing rapidly. Praise God as of today we have 32 churches with a regular place of worship and we have also 13 newly opened house churches, so we have 45 outreaches as of now. Praise God.... But God is still opening a great door for us to the tribal areas that does not have even one church, they are begging us to start a church in their areas, but we don't have workers to send.

Mission Goal: We are hoping that before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, we will be able to plant churches in every tribal village that does not have any churches as of now, to make more disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and for them to become productive. Our ministry is a holistic approach to help the tribal people become self supporting.

Activities:

  1. Church Planting
    a. Personal Evangelism
    b. Crusades
    c. Seminars
    d. Home bible studies
  2. Training for more workers:
    a. Discipleship training for 6 months period
    b. Personal discipling to the churches to make more workers.
    c. Seminars for the church leaders and workers.
  3. Training for the tribal people for farming and livelihood projects:
    a. We teach them how to make their own farm to support their families and ministry.

    c. Handy crafts projects for women and youth.

We are looking forward that someday the tribal people will be self supporting and the ministry in their areas will be supported by their own income so that they are productive in Spiritual and materials.

In addition to church planting, The Church Triumphant Ministries has partnered with Building the Kingdom Ministries to build a children's home and school. Two hectares (about 5 acres) of land was generously donated by a local businessman for the purpose of building the home. BTKM was able to raise the money needed to build the building and it is now complete. The ministry is now awaiting final government approval to begin housing the orphans.
